No One Killed Jessica

No One Killed Jessica....

A story re-told so beautifully. It almost is as close to reality, the pain and hollowness of human emotions.
What struck me about this movie!!!

The naked helplessness of a common man who drags his feet to every possible form of justice and comes back home with blisters on feet and thorns in heart. The staunch reality of Power and Money which makes people forget the brotherhood of humanity, trust and love.

A case which could have been an "Open & Shut case" was dragged for years and yet justice was denied. The question which Vidya asks "her sister was killed because she denied booze". How cheap is human life today for someone who smells of money? Just a glass of expensive liquor?

A sister relentlessly fighting for the justice of her loved one. Her helplessness and sorrow when her innocence and beliefs are faced with dishonest bureaucrats. The will of a sister to not give up against the fight.. Day after day.. year after year. Vidya has brought life to every part of this character.

I loved every part of the movie. Beautiful songs which are still ringing in my head. Every scene every eloquent dialogue of this movie hits right into your heart.. Hammering with the question "Is justice really for every common man".

Most powerful scene of the movie... The prime witness backs out and every other witness has fallen apart. Her rage towards her incapability to fight against a system which is as blind as a dead man..... Its flawless..

A definite comeback movie for Rani. Over confident, raunchy, desperate to make it to the top in the world of journalism is all real.

No heavy weight dialogues. Each word and each conversation between characters is real.

The movie made me cry and my soul cried out for the sister who really lost her sibling. It scares me to know that this is the society i am living in today. But also this sends a message that the power still is with the common man. Wrong happens when we are silent and accept injustice with the thought that this won't affect me. It’s a chain reaction, and NOKJ shouts it out from every corner of the movie.

This movie will touch your soul. Watch it but not if you are expecting a bollywood drama... There's nothing KJo type. The movie also has dash of humor here and there, which makes it even more natural.

This is the first bollywood movie which made me write a review. I would have wanted to write more but I guess this is enough for now.

Enjoy the movie with lots of pop corns and tissue papers.

  1. My breath of fresh April Dew,

I would definitely enjoy the movie after reading this review! This is a perfect example where one can understand that a review is more important than the film.. how else will one be given a reason strong enough to watch one?

You choice of words & display of raw emotions & thoughts make it a worth read. I wonder if anyone else could have even generate a quarter of flutter (in mind of thoughts).

I short- your words & about this movie- it's a darn perfect compliment!!

Very well captured.. All the Best
    Love xx
